I once had a guy say to me, close to the stroke of midnight one New Year’s Eve…”I want to be the last person you kiss this year and the first person you kiss next year”. I know, I know, gag me with the mushiness! But I ended up getting hitched to that guy (despite his cheesiness) and that was one of our little moments.
2009 is just about over. How that happened is beyond me! As we bid adieu to the old and salut to the new, think about adding a little Garnish to your celebrations. It makes no difference whether your festivities are grand in both size and style or if you gathering is small in scale but high in competitive board gaming. Because friends are awesome, laughter is contagious and moments are meant to be made. The extent as to how you Garnish is all up to you. From a simple white box (thanks to Woman & Home for the photo) filled with mints or candies and dressed in ribbon or twine, to a little something for the next morning, or maybe a compilation of the year’s best music, the choice is yours. The moment…well, that’s all theirs!
So, if you’re going for a fancy new year celebration…may your fabulous shoes be comfy all night. And, if you’re going for a fun night of games…may your team be brilliant (with fabulous shoes).
Bring on the friends, ring in the new and package the moment.
Garnish + Enjoy

Come on folks…we’re going on a field trip! Where are we going? Memory lane. This is the story of how Garnish came to be. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
The love (dare I say, obsession) with packaging has been there for many years, but it all came to a head during the holidays of ‘06. My youngest of three boys was barely 2 months old and while I birthed him, he birthed in me a huge creative streak. (more…)

When I was a little girl my family lived in Europe for a bit, 2 years in Belgium and the same in Switzerland (not that you’re asking, but hey, I’m telling!). During our years abroad, my parents were the ones who always hosted the big holiday parties. My sisters and I would sit at the top of the stairs listening to the grown up laughter and the disco music blaring (is this what my children do?!). (more…)
