Well, the weather’s warm and the days are long, we’re always on the run. And as we grab and go to keep our bellies full, why not have it all be fun?!

A snack of calcium, fiber and vitamin C. Also known as cheese, crackers + apple slices. Put it together in the deli containers for a healthy bite, on the run.

Whether they’re green, yellow, orange or red, veggies will look divine in a rounded take out container accompanied with a disposable wooden fork. Not everyone may love their veggies, but we bet everyone can agree that they are fun, on the run.

Food on the ready, in a squat gable box, when hunger pains strike. Now that’s an idea that makes me happy when I’m, on the run.

Break out. Break free. And enjoy your food, on the run.

Do you hear it?!  The giggles of little ones, the laughter of grown ups.  The lively chatter of folks visiting and catching up.  The squeals of delight as friends and family reunite after a too-long absence. What’s that you ask?! Why, those are the sounds of water splashing, motor boats whirring, and paddles dipping in the lake.

Ahh, the sounds of summer.  The enjoyment of celebrating the 4th of July.  I bet you’re smiling right now just thinking of it all.  And we’ll double down, and bet you’ll enjoy these 4th of July party ideas and inspirations even more.

What’s that noise?  It’s the gentle flap of the flag dancing in the breeze. Red, white, and blue…the colors of Old Glory. And what’s this you see?  A festive party favor for your holiday table.  Candies in a 3×3x3 clear acetate box wrapped in red and white twine.  Imagine a table or tiered stand filled with these. You know how we love us something sweet!

Can you hear the sizzle of the grill?  The cooking mode of choice for an independence day festivity.  The paper chipboard tray is the serving style of choice.  Your hotdogs and sides will rest comfortably here. Burgers and lobster rolls too!  Chopped pickles in the oval dip cups and condiments in the 2oz plastic bottles (thanks to this Garnish customer for that brilliant thought!).  Give your guests a helping hand and put together disposable wooden cutlery and paper straws and a napkin too in the small white paper bag.  A pretty trim of the bag adds to the beauty.

Do brain freezes make a noise?  I don’t know about that, but I do know that everyone loves something cold on a hot summer day.  Make your own snow cones in our white paper cone cup and serve with a wooden spoon. Anything cold will do, sorbet, granita, or freeze juice in ice cubes tray.  Put those frozen cubes in a plastic bag and give it a bang.  That’s what we did and it looks pretty darn yummy!

Crackling, snapping, and maybe a little singing.  The sounds of a campfire.  A favorite way to end the day.  Gathering around the warmth of the flame and watching fireworks or fireflies.  There’s still room in those tummies for a gooey marshmallowy, chocolately treat.  Presenting all the ingredients to make your s’mores in a 4×4x4 white box, and sweet sentiment on a square clear label, will really cap off your holiday right.

We love the sounds of summer and we love the sight of a Garnished one!

It’s important to us, here at Garnish, to offer ideas and inspiration. So we bring you a new series called “What I Like About You”. Today, we bring you what we like about teachers and end of school teacher gifts.  I enjoy being able to volunteer in my boys’ schools. But I also really enjoy being able to leave.  I think it must be akin to being a grandparent!  My sons’ teachers rock.  They really do.  We are so fortunate to have them guiding my young men through their lives.

Here’s what we like about these teacher gift ideas.

I think just about every teacher will tell you that while receiving a gift from a student is extremely generous and thoughtful, they do not need anymore mugs!  Think consumable.  Think function.

Something good to eat: We put a tomato plant in a wood pint berry box with a gift card tucked in behind.  Twine and circle label complete the look. Cute, right?!  Each time she/he enjoys a BLT this summer, they’ll be thinking of you. Note: font is a font with serifs via dafont.com

Something fun to do: Pay it forward.  It might be the end of the year, but your teacher will need some supplies to get going after summer vacation.  School supplies are always needed.  Using the squat gable box to house it all, we put in hand sanitizer, sharpies,  post it notes in a medium glassine bag, clips and rubber bands in the small translucent deli container.  All of the items (minus Sharpies) can be found at the dollar store.  Extra bonus! Something good to drink: It’s hot out and thirsts need to be quenched.  Place a small bottle of lemonade, fun sparkling water, or drink mixes in the lined tie top bag.  Maybe some little muffins too. On the outside of the bag we attached a medium glassine bag, perfect to hold a note and striped paper straws. Note: font is american typewriter

What do we like about all these teacher gift ideas?  They’re easy on the eyes, wallet and time.  They’re big on impact, thoughtfulness and function.

Isn’t it fun to say “thank you”?!
